Building a generation
that thinks, not memorises.
Brainwave Foundation Olympiads is India's K–12 concept-driven Olympiad. Our papers are written by educators, evaluated by trained examiners, and conducted in 1500+ partner schools across the country. We exist to give every Indian student a serious, fair examination that rewards how they reason — not what they remember.
"Empowering young minds through critical thinking, problem solving and academic excellence."
A concept-driven Olympiad for every Indian child.
The programme
An exam that asks why, not what.
Brainwave Foundation Olympiads runs four examination rounds across each academic year — School, District, State and the National Grand Finale — for students from Nursery to Class 12. Seven subject tracks (including Drawing as a Skill Olympiad for Foundation classes), board-neutral papers, OMR-based evaluation, and detailed performance reports for every participant.
01
Four-stage academic climb
From the student's own school to the National Grand Finale — each round narrows the field and deepens the challenge.
02
Seven subject tracks, Nursery to Class 12
Maths, Science, English, Hindi, GK, Foundation Skills + Drawing (Skill Olympiad for Foundation classes). Aligned to CBSE, ICSE and NCERT — no separate coaching needed.
03
OMR-based, proctored, fair
Sealed papers, proctored conduct in the student's own school. Centrally evaluated by trained examiners.
An exam designed to grow the mind
Beyond the recognition, beyond the certificate — what students gain from sitting four serious papers a year is a habit of mind that lasts a lifetime.
01
Builds critical thinking
Every paper asks students to interpret, deduce and reason — not to recite. Children learn to question assumptions instead of memorising answers.
02
Strengthens analytical skills
Multi-step problems train the student to break questions into parts — the same skill JEE, NEET, NTSE and CUET reward at higher levels.
03
Improves school performance
Students who write Brainwave consistently report improved performance on CBSE / ICSE / state-board exams — same syllabus, deeper understanding.
04
Builds exam-room composure
45 minutes under real proctored conditions, four times a year. By the time board and competitive exams arrive, the room feels familiar.
05
Earns national recognition
Top performers receive official certificates and medals that hold weight in higher-education applications across Indian universities.
06
Lays a long-term foundation
The reasoning patterns we test mirror every higher-level exam an Indian student will sit. Earlier exposure means deeper confidence later.
A country where every classroom rewards thinking.

Priti Bajaj
Founder · Brainwave Foundation Olympiads
"I founded Brainwave because I spent fifteen years watching curious children turn into rote-learners by the time they reached Class 8 — not because they weren't capable, but because no exam was asking them to think. We built this Olympiad so that every Indian student — from a single-section rural school to a metro institution — has access to a serious paper that rewards reasoning. The first time I watched a Class 7 student walk into a Brainwave Final, I knew this work would last a lifetime."
Gagandeep Singh
Co-Founder · Brainwave Foundation Olympiads
"Every paper we write is read once by a child. That single chance is sacred. My job, alongside our academic board, is to make sure the question on that page meets the student where they are — and gives them a reason to think one step further. The day we see a student stay back after the exam to ask 'why was the answer this?' — that's the day we know we've done it right. We are not building a test; we are building a habit of mind."
